After being closed for refurbishment, Barrowell Green household waste and recycling centre will reopen this month.
The recycling centre in Barrowell Green, near Winchmore Hill was closed By Enfield Borough Council throughout October.
After having had £225k worth of improvements, the centre will be back open to the public in the first week of November.
The council have replaced the damaged concrete flooring and containers for green waste. Work to improve the traffic has also taken place as drivers complained that waiting times were too long. New road marking have been painted in order to keep things running smoothly.
During the refurbishment the council offered a discount for customers using their Bulky Waste Service, which was offered to compensate for the centre’s closure. The council hoped that this would encourage locals to continue recycling.
