Unusual Use for Bath Skip Hire
A customer rang up for what we thought was Bath skip hire in Avon but obviously what he actually wanted was a skip to bathe in. So if the weather is fine and if you’re bored or drunk, as this guy clearly is, then you could try a spot of skip diving. Well It Made Us Laugh…
An angry man has just been on the phone to our customer service department for the past 20 minutes fuming.
The reason for the complaint?
One of our skip drivers dropped the skip off at this customer’s house this morning, and the customer’s wife signed for it, took the top sheet of the delivery note in to the house and put it on the side. Her husband picked it up and saw ‘PERFECT ASS’ scrawled across the top of it. Thinking the skip driver was writing pervy notes to his wife about her derriere, he rang us up demanding an answer and some compensation for the distress caused. Josh in Customer Service calmly informed him that the limited company that trades under the name TopSkips.com is Perfect Associates Limited and the note was by no means a reference to his wife’s posterior – no matter how lovely it is.
The customer still won’t believe that this is the case. His wife really must have some behind!

Organising the Hire of a Skip?
If you’re organising the hire of a skip, these are the things that you should ask your skip company for safe, hassle-free skip hire:
- How long can I have the skip for?
This can affect the price you pay on some occasions
- How much access does the drive need to place the skip?
Always check you have enough room on site.
- Do I need a skip permit?
If your skip has to go on the public highway, you will need to pay more for a skip permit from the local council – in most cases, we can organise this on your behalf.
- Do you have a copy of the Waste Carriers License?
Check your company’s registered. Skip companies who do not have a license are operating illegally. If they flytip your waste, it can lead back to you – and you could face a hefty fine.
