No one likes the idea of coming home from holiday to see tonnes of rubbish in their garden, but that was precisely the problem faced by one London resident.

Cheryl Pandis was stunned to find roughly seven skip-loads of debris on her lawn after returning from an excursion.

And according to the Wimbledon Guardian, the council has ordered her to clear it up.

Ms Pandis was in no mood to give in, noting that it would cost about £2,100.

In such a scenario, those seeking mini skip hire in London might want to call a reputable business and get their problem sorted.

Failing that, wait for the fly-tippers to return and give ‘em a piece of your mind!

Apparently, these guys love skips so much that they opened a restaurant in its honour.

Or so it would seem.

The eatery recently closed its doors after 62 years of service.

The Diner Hotline Weblog quoted resident Rusty Simpson as saying – somewhat bizarrely – “This place is like a bible for a lot of people”.

Located in the amusingly named Chelmsford, Massachusetts, it bears about as much relation to Chelmsford, Essex, as Skips Restaurant does to rubbish skips.

However, we live in hope that an authentic skip-themed diner will one day open its doors.
