North London Skip Hire – the Grave Yard of an 80s Icon.
Listening to the Chris Evans show this morning to hear talk of Metal Mickey, the 80s children’s TV robot. Colin Bostock Smith the writer of all 41 episodes, came on to say that the actual robot that played Metal Mickey was thrown away in some North London skip hire container. So, Metal Mickey is lurking in a landfill somewhere. If he’s ever unearthed, the finder should get a taxi to Sotherby’s asap!
