Fly-tipping and Asbestos Removal
There’s a few things we don’t like here at TopSkips; empty biscuit barrels, skip hire industry cowboys and most of all – fly-tipping.
Illegal waste dumping ruins communities, harms the environment and costs the tax payer millions every year. It’s bad enough when it’s tyres, building rubble or house-hold waste but imagine the health implications of fly-tipping asbestos.
This is exactly what happened in Iver, Buckinghamshire last week when a fly-tipper dumped truck loads of asbestos down a country lane. There was so much asbestos that the road was closed while asbestos removal experts collected the hazardous material.
With the credit crunch showing no sign of disappearing, it may be tempting for some to fly-tip instead of using sustainable and legal methods of waste disposal. We can only hope that the majority continue to use environmentally sound waste removal and disposal services such as local recycling centres, skip hire and especially licensed asbestos removal.
