Automated Phone Recycling Machines May Prevent Hiring A Skip

US Company EcoATM will begin supplying fully automated phone recycling machine throughout US during 2012.
The Machine which enables you to pick your mobile phone from a list will allow the customer to place it into the machine and then pay out its value!
Is this just for your old “Cell” phone? Heck no! Old MP3 players, mini disc and CD players can all be taken too.
If the quote given to the customer is accepted the money will be paid out immediately.
EcoATM say that the machine will help with the global problem of recycling, “a great example of technology solving a problem created by technology.”
So from now on instead of hiring a skip to get rid of your unwanted electrical items there could be instant cash!

Recent skip hire and recycling news reports that Apple now offer cashback and recycling in UK

The new service, currently operated by big company Dataserv, is currently available to anyone in the US but was only offered to Europe recently.

A spokesman for Apple said “Whether it’s an iPhone, iPad, Mac or PC computer, working or not, we’ll take it and determine if it qualifies for reuse and has a monetary value. If it does, the amount will be credited directly into your bank account. If it doesn’t, you can recycle it responsibly through one of our free recycling programmes,”

Once the item looking to be recycled has been valued it can be sent in for a tidy profit and even items with no value can be sent in for free!

This doesn’t mean that this company will take all your waste however when looking to get rid of your old T.V in your skip or using skips and skip hire in general to get rid of things like your fridge-freezer or computer screen there may now be another option. It may also change what skip size you’ll need thus reducing the cost of skip hire.

Makes the saying “Where there’s s*** there’s money” hold true even in this current climate!

Skip Founder laid to rest in his own bespoke coffin!

Coffin of John ‘Butch’ Nash was towed through his home town on a skip lorry

John’s coffin was paraded via a skip lorry as it weaved its’ way through the streets of Portland in Dorset in December 2011.

Mr John Nash, who was 64 years old was also known as “Butch” and was the founder of a skip hire company in Dorset since 1997 and was known to be exceptionally generous by donating tens of thousands of pounds to many local charities.
